HARRY PAYE DAY - POOLE QUAY 600th Anniversary of Harry Paye's death
This is the Pirates of Poole main event of the year were the townsfolk of Poole and many from across the land and seas don their Pirate outfits to celebrate the life of Poole’s infamous Pirate Harry Paye… Arrrgh!
HPD2019 marks the 600th anniversary of Harry Paye’s death, so we want to make the celebration of Harry’s life even better than ever!
Harry Paye Day has enjoyed some brilliant successes over the years and we Pirates cannot thank those who turned out in previous years enough, it is always a great day and everyone does us proud. There are live bands and entertainment for all the family to enjoy, though there are a lot of loud bangs from the cannon and guns so pet owners need to be aware of this. The grand Pirates parade starts at 12 noon followed by a children’s best pirate competition for various age groups, which is judged by the Mayor of Poole and then the merriment begins, a fun day for all the family…
Harry Paye Day 2019 (HPD600) will be held on June 15th 2019… Be sure to put it in your diaries… Arrrgh
And remember folks we are looking for stall holders, entertainers and volunteers to help out on the day… and we will be looking for extra sponsors so we can make it that more special for the 600th anniversary.
So please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to get involved.
At least every month the Pirates of Poole meet up to discus plans for Harry Paye Day, there really is a lot to organise beforehand to ensure that every one is safe and has an enjoyable day.
